What we measure
We distinguish between outputs and outcomes. Both matter, but they tell different stories.
Outputs
What we deliver directly — meals provided, people reached, cost per meal. These are countable, immediate, and verifiable.
Outcomes
What changes as a result — dietary diversity, continuity of nutrition access, health referrals made, and growth indicators over time. These take longer to measure and require rigorous methodology.
Programme methodology
Our pilot protocol will be published here once finalised. Until then, we will share our design process openly — including the questions we are still working through, the frameworks we are drawing on, and the trade-offs we are navigating.
Financial transparency
When available: budgets, audited statements, and annual reports will be shared here. We are building this practice from the beginning — not retrofitting it later. Transparency is not a feature we plan to add; it is a principle we intend to demonstrate from day one.
What we are learning
Quarterly field notes — including failures, pivots, and changes in direction — will be published here. We believe that honest reflection is more valuable than polished narratives. What did not work matters as much as what did.
Data ethics
We take the protection of beneficiary data seriously. Our approach to data collection, storage, and reporting is guided by the following commitments:
- Data will be collected only where it serves programme improvement or accountability
- All individual data will be anonymised before any external reporting
- Informed consent will be sought in accessible, appropriate language
- Data will be stored securely with access limited to programme staff
- We will publish our full data ethics protocol once finalised
